Well, it’s official y’all.
After several years of making up and breaking up with husband Gabriel “Gabe” Solis, Trina Braxton is officially a single woman. According to The Jasmine Brand, a judged in Georgia finalized the pair’s divorce earlier this month.
Braxton has never really tried to hide the fact that she and Solis had a tumultuous marriage. Infidelity seemed to be a major factor in the couple’s 12-year marriage.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Trina has filed for divorce from Gabe and, to be honest, we’re kind of surprised that she actually followed through with it this time. According to the reality star, her family played a huge role in the decision to divorce.
“It’s more than just myself; it’s more than just me and Gabe. It’s me and it’s Gabe and it’s our family. We have two children who we both love,” she said back in 2013. “So, right now we’re concentrating on being good parents. My oldest son is in college and my youngest is in 10th grade so, it’s a long haul.”
Although we hate to see marriages fail, divorce seems like it was probably the best option for Trina and Gabe at this point. After years and years of trying to make things work, it became apparent after a while that these two simply could not get it together.
