After it was reported last week that Russell Wilson would be bringing Ciara as his date to the White House Correspondents Dinner, the Seahawks player quickly took to Facebook to let the world know that he would be bringing a special lady to the dinner, but that lady was not Ciara. Instead, he brought his lovely grandmother, Carolyn.
Plenty of eyebrows rose after Wilson revealed that he would not be bringing Ciara to the dinner and, of course, speculation began. Personally, I just assumed that they thought better and decided to keep their rumored romance on the low, but it now appears that this wasn’t the case either.
Last night, Russell attended a White House state dinner for Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Ciara accompanied him. The two appeared very cozy in photographs snapped at the event, so it’s tough to argue that this was just some friendly outing.
After the White House Correspondents Dinner last weekend, the Super Bowl champion was asked by Entertainment Tonight whether or not he is seeing someone special. While he did not mention Ciara by name, he did confess that there is a woman in his life.
“That’s why it’s my personal life, I don’t talk about it too much,” Wilson said. “But, there is someone in mind. I’ll say that.”
Not only do they look amazing together, but from what we can see, Russell seems like a great guy. I’m really hoping that things work out for them. I’m also hoping that they use discretion when it comes to inviting the public into what they have going on.
