Earlier this year, Adrienne Bailon revealed to her co-hosts on “The Real” that one of the reasons her music career was placed on pause was because she didn’t like the sound of her voice. The other reason was her fear of failure.
“One, I’m scared to fail,” she confessed. “So I’ve had this solo album that I’ve said is coming out for the last five years. I’m scared to fail. I don’t like the sound of my own voice, and that’s honest.”
In a recent episode of “The Real,” the 31-year-old bride-to-be pushed past her fears and performed Selena’s “I Could Fall In Love” in a touching tribute to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the slain singer’s death. Ironically, this was Adrienne’s first performance in six years.
“I haven’t performed in six years,” said Bailon.”My first song singing growing up was Selena. For me to get back to it singing a song like this means so much.”
Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla, was present for the performance.
“Thank you so much for continuing her legacy, thinking about her, jamming to her still,” said Suzette.

Paula Patton Shares Why Leaving Robin Thicke Was Such A Big Deal For Her

While some hollered that they saw it coming from a mile away, personally, I was a little shocked when Paula Patton announced her separation from Robin Thicke last year. Sure, it was obvious that they were having problems, but for some reason, I just assumed they would work it out. Now that they’re mere weeks away from finalizing their divorce, Paula is opening up more and more about her decision to leave and what life has been like since the two have separated.
For one, the Baggage Claim actress says that the experience has been life changing because she’s never really been on her own before. She met Robin when she was just 14 years old and when she decided to move out of her parents’ home years later, she moved in with her childhood sweetheart.
“I moved from my parent’s house to moving in with Robin and now I’m becoming an adult,” she explained in an interview with Meredith Vieira. “I feel like a real woman now.”
As liberating as stepping out on her own may be, Paula says that it also comes with its challenges–like being a single mother.
“I took a lot of time off to be with him and then I had to pack for a trip because I had to go to work and he said, ‘Mommy I don’t want you to go to work,'” she shared. “It’s the challenge of being a working mother and it’s the first time he ever said that to me, because I did work when he was a baby, but now he is more aware of everything, so what are you going to do? It’s sort of the trials and tribulations of being a woman. Right?”
Overall, Paula says she’s doing well.
“You know I’m doing really well. It’s been a long year and a lot of challenges but I’ve grown quite a bit and just getting used to change,” she said.
As previously reported, Paula and Robin have already reached a divorce settlement. Their split will be finalized next month.

Ludacris Says Quickie Wedding Had Nothing To Do With Paternity Dispute: “I Got Married For All The Right Reasons”

Earlier this month, we told you that Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges may be heading back to court. In case you missed our previous report, it’s being alleged that the Furious 7 actor failed to reveal that his new wife Eudoxie Agnan is with child–so his daughter’s mother Tamika Fuller believes that this entitles her to a new case. Bridges recently interviewed with Sway Calloway and opened up quite a bit about this whole custodial fiasco.
“This is a person I went to high school with,” Bridges said of Fuller, who according to some reports, believes that he quickly married Eudoxie over the holidays gain leverage in their custodial feud. Luda, however, claims that this definitely is not the case.
“I got married for all the right reasons,” he said. “Because this is my best friend. Because we wanted to make the union with God. It has absolutely nothing to do with a child custody case, period.”
He also addressed other reports that are circulating surrounding the case and his relationship with Fuller.
“Every one listens to what one source says, whether it’s the truth or not. And then everybody basically says what that particular source is claiming and it’s all entertainment in the end.”
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Bridges has found himself in the midst of a paternity dispute. However, in the other case, the rapper says that he never even met the woman who was coming after him.
“There’s a person that lives in Chicago and just went into someone’s office and said, ‘Ludacris, Chris Bridges is my child’s father.’ And they sent a letter to me basically saying that I had to take a paternity test. I had to go through the motions of getting a lawyer and all of these different things for a person that I came to find out that I never even met in my entire life.”
Sheesh, talk about drama.

Wendy Williams Scores New TV Show “Death By Gossip”

After the airing of the Aaliyah biopic, Wendy Williams expressed that she hopes to produce more projects. According to Variety, her wish has been granted.
The 50-year-old media maven is set to executive produce and star in her very own show titled “Death by Gossip.” The series has already received the greenlight from the Investigation Discovery channel. “Death by Gossip” will explore crimes provoked by rumors and lies.
The news isn’t exactly shocking since Williams has already established a bit of a relationship with the network. In the past, she hosted a Valentine’s Day special titled “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover.”
“It’s no rumor … I’m obsessed with ID to the point that it keeps me up at night,” Williams said in a statement. “I couldn’t be happier to host and executive producer my own project on one of my favorite networks and showcase my brand of talk, which won’t get you killed, but it will kill in the ratings!”
The folks over at ID also seem pretty excited to welcome Wendy aboard.
“There’s nobody better than the daring doyenne of daytime, Wendy Williams, to offer this cautionary tale to those who indulge in chatter and innuendo,” said Henry Schleiff, group president of Discovery Networks. “‘Death by Gossip’ proves that sticks and stones may break your bones…but words can really kill you.”
“Death by Gossip” is slated to première this fall. As someone who spends many of her weekends binge watching ID shows, I am so thirsty for this series to air.

Today, Bravo announced their new television lineup. Included in the network’s ten new shows and four returning series, is a new show featuring “Real Housewives of Atlanta” veterans NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak.
If you’ve been watching Kim and NeNe, you may have noticed that they’ve been on great terms as of late, putting their differences to the side and rekindling their friendship. Whether it was genuine or orchestrated as a business move, it looks like it’s all working out.
The ladies’ new series is called “NeNe and Kim: Road to Riches.” Bravo describes the series as follows:

3 Students Injured in Panama City Beach Spring Break Shooting

For most college students, spring break is a week full of fun and sun. Many students travel from across the country for a few days of tanning in Miami Beach and Panama City Beach. This year, spring break became a frightening experience for one group.
According to ABCNEWS,
Three college students on spring break who were among seven people wounded in a shooting early Saturday at a home in Panama City Beach, Florida were “innocent victims,” police said.
Police arrested the shooting suspect, David Jamichael Daniels, 22, of Mobile, Alabama, and charged him with seven counts of attempted murder. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office said witnesses helped identify him.
Three people were in critical condition following the shooting, the sheriff’s office said. Three others were in stable condition and one victim was in surgery, officials said.
Among the victims were three students from Alabama A&M University visiting Panama City Beach for spring break, the sheriff’s office said.
The university identified the three as Kearria Freed, 20, who was in critical condition; Kelli Regina Curry, 20, who was in stable condition; and, Annesia Powell, 19, who was undergoing surgery.
The three students were reportedly in the wrong place at the wrong time.
No motive has been determined yes yet. However, this does teach us all a lesson. Be careful where you go and who you go with, even if you’re on vacation.

Smith has been ordered to pay $7k/month in spousal support to her ex-husband Keith Douglas. Tasha has already been forced pay Keith $50K this past year.
The couple filed for divorce, after Keith filed for a restraining order against Smith. Keith claimed Tasha threatened him on multiple occasions, and did not feel safe around her. After Keith filed for a restraining order, Tasha did the same and claimed he constantly accused her of having extra marital affairs.
As for Tasha’s deal from the settlement, she will be receiving the family Mercedes back.

Earlier today, OWN released multiple clips from Karrueche Tran’s highly anticipated interview with Iyanla Vanzant about her tumultuous relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. In each clip, Tran tries to be strong as she is forced to swallow some hard truths about her toxic ex-lover and the red flags that probably should have sent her packing a long time ago.
We were able to obtain an exclusive clip from the network of Tran’s interview during which she eventually breaks down about all that she has been going through—including Brown’s recent paternity scandal. Similar to the other clips, the aspiring model attempts to show a brave face, but as Vanzant instructs her to get out of her thoughts and simply feel the hurt and betrayal, Tran momentarily loses it.
“I feel hurt because the man I love hurt me and betrayed me,” Tran says. “I also feel like I let myself down,” she continues before cracking.
According to our sources at OWN, this was the first emotional breakdown of the interview. In other clips, which you can also check out below, she opens up about knowing that Chris was seeing Rihanna during their relationship, airing out their business on social media and making the mistake of placing his needs before her own.

Twitter Launches Periscope, A Live Video-Streaming App For iPhone
Twitter will now offer users more than 140 characters. The popular social networking site has unveiled Periscope, an interactive video app that let’s you broadcast in real-time to your followers.
Sound somewhat familiar?
Well, Twitter acquired live video-streaming company Periscope in January. It’s clear that the social media juggernaut wastes no time, rolling out the app, which allows followers to interact in real-time by commenting and “sharing ‘hearts’,” as VentureBeat noted.
“A picture may be worth a thousand words, but live video can take you someplace and show you around,” the Periscope team said in a release on Medium.com.
The app is also a direct competitor to Meerkat, the new live streaming app introduced recently. With news of a building explosion on Second Avenue in Manhattan, Periscope is already trending on Twitter as users livestream from the scene.
Mashable reports that the apps simple design and easy-to-use navigation make it a more polished product than Meerkat. Fellow live-streaming app Meerkat has been gaining traction and popularity, which could’ve led to the quick release of Periscope
Here’s how the live-streaming app works:
Like Vine, you have to sign-in with your Twitter credentials. When you launch Periscope, you’ll see a list which is divided into “Featured” Periscope users, including early adopters like Shonda Rhimes and magician David Blaine, and people who you follow who are currently on Periscope. Don’t feel pressured to keep all those on that list. The app allows you to deselect and pick and choose who you want to follow.
In the Watch area, you’ll see a list of videos. At the top are your current broadcasts as well as recently recorded ones. When you broadcast, you can choose to make it public or private. You’ll have to hit the “lock” icon prior to broadcasting to select the individuals you want to invite if you’re opting for the private option. Periscope allows a tweet to be sent out to your followers when your broadcast begins, so they can watch via the Twitter site or in Periscope if they have the app installed.
Once your broadcast has ended, it can be viewed for 24 hours as a “replay,” or deleted immediately or saved to your camera roll.
Periscope is a standalone app currently available on iOS.

12-Year-Old Allegedly Poisoned Mom By Pouring Bleach In Her Smoothie Because Her iPhone Was Taken Away

A 12-year-old Colorado girl is facing two counts of first degree murder because cops believe that she tried to kill her mother on two separate occasions, FOX Denver reports.
It’s believed that the unnamed child tried to poison her mother each time by pouring bleach into her beverage. On March 2, the woman fell ill after drinking a smoothie that smelled of the cleaning solution. The sickness eventually passed and she reasoned that the preteen simply failed to wash out the glass properly; however, she became alarmed after the second incident, which occurred on March 6, when she smelled the bleach again.
According to Boulder County Commander Heidi Prentup, the woman “confronted her daughter and her daughter told her that she was trying to kill her for taking her iPhone.”
“Her daughter told her that she was trying to kill her for taking her iPhone,”Prentup continued.
Authorities responded to Boulder County Hospital where the child’s mother was being treated. On Friday, the child was taken into custody at the Boulder County Juvenile Center. As previously stated, she has been charged with two counts of first degree attempted murder. Her mother survived both attempts and is said to be okay—at least physically.
This seems like a pretty outrageous reaction to cell phone privileges being taken away. We’re relieved to know that the girl’s mother survived.

A$AP Rocky Was Depressed After Chanel Iman Split: “I Knew That She Deserves Better Than Me” [Watch]

Back in October, we told you that fashion forward couple A$AP Rocky and Chanel Iman were no more. Although word about the split didn’t get out until the fall, the pair actually split up months before that. In a recent interview with MTV News, the Harlem rapper confessed that the split left him feeling quite depressed.
“Me and Chanel broke up in June and I got really depressed, because I knew that she deserves better than me,” he shared.
He went on to say that he didn’t want to be the bad guy, so they decided to end the relationship.
“And that’s the truth. Everybody knows it. I don’t wanna be the guy to Lauryn Hill her — if you know what I’m saying. I love her so much that I would rather not be with her, than hurt her. That’s not to say that she’s a piece of meat that I can play with.”
It appears that their relationship was somehow able to survive the split though. According to the 26-year-old, they’re still “best friends.”
“That’s my best friend,” Rocky said. “You’ve gotta be mature, to be in this type of predicament and have a relationship. I never really talk about these kinda things, about her, and she never really talks about me so I’m not really gonna say much on the subject but she’s happy and that’s all I want — I want her to be happy.”
“I do know that where I’m at in life, I’m still having fun and I’m young and I need to focus on my career,” he added. “[But] she’s still in my life, so it’s a win, win situation.”
Rocky also expressed that she’s still the apple of his eye.
“She’s one of the most beautiful women that I’ve ever laid my eyes on. She looks like a princess.”

Kerry Washington Live Tweeted “Scandal” While In Labor, But You’ll Never Guess Why

It’s nice to know that Kerry Washington is as dedicated to Thursday nights as her loyal gladiators. In a recent interview with Net-A-Porter’s The Edit, the 38-year-old explained that she doesn’t have much of a social life when the show is in season because her Thursday night plans revolve around being available to live tweet the show and interact with fans.
“Oh yes, I have no social life on a Thursday!” she confessed.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering how this all worked out in the weeks leading up to her daughter’s birth nearly one year ago, Washington had this to say:
“Every Thursday within three weeks of my [daughter Isabelle’s] due date, I loaded up pre-tweets based on the episodes and what I would want to say.”
Interestingly, the wife and mom happened to be in labor while the show was on and do you know what she did? She tweeted!
“I tweeted in the very early stages of my labor,” she shared before confessing to her bizarre reason for doing so.
“I figured that if I went completely silent on social media, then people would know I was in the hospital!”
It has been nearly three years since “Scandal” first debuted on ABC, and the show’s protagonist Olivia Pope has been widely praised as well as criticized. When asked if there was anything she disliked about the political heroine, Washington expressed that there are many of Olivia’s choice’s that she disagrees with.
“I love her. To me she’s like family, and with family, it doesn’t matter if you like them or not, you love them no matter what. I don’t always agree with her choices, but I have a lot of compassion for them.”
As for one of the drastic differences that exist between herself and her character, Kerry said that it would have to be her willingness to address her issues.
“I do a lot of therapy! Not to say that I have it all together, but I think I have a little bit more awareness about my behavior patterns and I do the work it takes to get out of them.”

Twitter Launches Periscope, A Live Video-Streaming App For iPhone
Twitter will now offer users more than 140 characters. The popular social networking site has unveiled Periscope, an interactive video app that let’s you broadcast in real-time to your followers.
Sound somewhat familiar?
Well, Twitter acquired live video-streaming company Periscope in January. It’s clear that the social media juggernaut wastes no time, rolling out the app, which allows followers to interact in real-time by commenting and “sharing ‘hearts’,” as VentureBeat noted.
“A picture may be worth a thousand words, but live video can take you someplace and show you around,” the Periscope team said in a release on Medium.com.
The app is also a direct competitor to Meerkat, the new live streaming app introduced recently. With news of a building explosion on Second Avenue in Manhattan, Periscope is already trending on Twitter as users livestream from the scene.
Mashable reports that the apps simple design and easy-to-use navigation make it a more polished product than Meerkat. Fellow live-streaming app Meerkat has been gaining traction and popularity, which could’ve led to the quick release of Periscope
Here’s how the live-streaming app works:
Like Vine, you have to sign-in with your Twitter credentials. When you launch Periscope, you’ll see a list which is divided into “Featured” Periscope users, including early adopters like Shonda Rhimes and magician David Blaine, and people who you follow who are currently on Periscope. Don’t feel pressured to keep all those on that list. The app allows you to deselect and pick and choose who you want to follow.
In the Watch area, you’ll see a list of videos. At the top are your current broadcasts as well as recently recorded ones. When you broadcast, you can choose to make it public or private. You’ll have to hit the “lock” icon prior to broadcasting to select the individuals you want to invite if you’re opting for the private option. Periscope allows a tweet to be sent out to your followers when your broadcast begins, so they can watch via the Twitter site or in Periscope if they have the app installed.
Once your broadcast has ended, it can be viewed for 24 hours as a “replay,” or deleted immediately or saved to your camera roll.
Periscope is a standalone app currently available on iOS.

“We Don’t Get A Dime” Marvin Gaye’s Sisters Want Some Of $7.4 Million

If you had any doubt that the Gaye family was just trying to get a quick buck suing Pharrell and Robin Thicke for “Blurred Lines,” you need look no further than Marvin Gaye’s sisters Zeola and Jeanne Gaye who are now upset that they won’t be seeing a dime from the $7.4 million dollar fortune Gaye’s ex wife and children will soon inherit.
The sisters told The Daily Mail that they haven’t received anything from the estate and they have actually been banned from performing any of Marvin’s music, even though Zeola is one of the women doing the ad-libs for “Got to Give It Up.”
The drama started…or resurfaced shortly after the settlement when Jan Gaye, Marvin’s ex wife, accused the sisters of “picking on your brother’s bones” and dismissed their attempts to make peace.
Zeola and Jeanne, who are 69 and 78 respectively, say that though they played a huge role in their brother’s life, they are living in virtual poverty today.
Zeola told the Daily Mail,“Marvin didn’t leave a will and his estate went to his heirs which we agree with. But Jan controls it all and that’s why we do not get anything. The bottom line is that they get everything and we don’t get a dime. We try and live with that, but it is difficult. If I was given a few million, it would change my life a lot. Marvin would have hated to have seen us like this. He would have cared for us and made sure we were fine financially and with love.”
Zeola, a retired bookkeeper, said she’s tired of the negativity from her niece, and nephews and sister-in-law.
In fact, Zeola is even more distressed by the fact that she believes Marvin would be particularly hurt by all of this.
“It was a very sad end and that sadness would be greater if he knew the situation some of his family were in today.”

NYPD Cop And Minister Charged In Rape Of Teen Girl
Bronx minister and NYPD Officer Vladimir Sosa is facing pretty serious charges following accusations that he engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl, the New York Daily News reports.
Sosa, 38, was arraigned on Tuesday in Bronx Criminal Court and charged with third-degree rape, sexual misconduct and child endangerment. He is a minister at Iglesia Metodista Libre El Remanente in the Bronx, where he met the teen.
The alleged relationship was discovered by the girl’s mother who came across some inappropriate text messages exchanged between Sosa and her daughter. After being confronted about the texts, the teen confessed to the relationship to her mother who contacted police. It’s believed that their sexual relationship lasted for at least seven months last year. Law enforcement sources allege that he had consensual sex with the teen at least three times in his apartment.
“He abused his two positions of authority, both public and vestal,” Bronx Assistant District Attorney Joelle Morabito said.
Sosa, however, is denying the allegations.
“There has never been a situation where they have been alone in the same room together,” said the cop’s attorney Cary London.
Sosa’s colleague at Iglesia Metodista Libre El Remanente, Fernando Gonzalez, also believes that the troubled cop is innocent.
“It’s not true,” Gonzalez said, before sharing that he has always trusted Sosa with his daughters. “It’s being made up.”
“Vladimir might have been trying to help the female in question with her spiritual life,” he said. “It might have happened that because of her young age, she confused the situation.”
A family friend of the victim who also knows Sosa, however, says that the teen was taken advantage of by Sosa and that her life has been ruined.
“She’s doing very bad … she used to be a top student, a virgin, a girl that was in love with God and this man seduced her,” the woman said. “She is crying, very depressed … I can say that he destroyed her life.”
Sosa was released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear back in court next month.

Kirk Franklin Isn’t Here For Creflo’s Private Jet Fundraiser

Earlier this month, Pastor Creflo Dollar was in the hot seat after announcing some pretty elaborate plans to purchase a $65 million private jet. Of course, it’s Dollar’s prerogative if he wants to blow a fortune on a private plane, but what troubled many was that he was requesting the help of the public to raise most of that money. Creflo Dollar Ministries has since canceled the crowdfunding campaign, but it hasn’t stopped people from sharing their two cents about the scandal.
Last week, we spoke with “Preachers of Detroit” star Rev. David Bullock who wasted no time expressing his disapproval of said fundraiser and apparently, Kirk Franklin feels the same. In an op-ed essay for Patheos.com titled “The High Cost of Character,” the recording artist briefly touched on why Dollar’s controversial fundraiser speaks to the absence of character.
“We don’t have a shortage of greatness, we have a shortage of character,” Franklin wrote. “When a pastor wants people to buy him a private plane while a missionary in Somalia bathes children with sores, that’s a shortage of character.”
He continued:
“When I camouflage my ‘greeds’ to look like ‘needs,’ that’s a shortage of character. When young students are comfortable enough to sing racial slurs on a bus while furthering their education to someday lead a corporation that may have minorities apply for jobs, that’s a shortage of character…”

Won’t He Do It? Bengals Player Devon Still’s Daughter In Remission After Battle With Cancer
The family of Cincinnati Bengals player Devon Still is in full celebration mode as doctors have confirmed that his 4-year-old daughter Leah Still is cancer free.
Nearly 10 months after the tyke was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma, Still happily took to Instagram to announce that his little princess is officially in remission.
“June 2, 2014 and March 25, 2015 are days I will remember for the rest of my life. As everyone probably knows, June 2nd was the day doctors walked into the waiting room to tell me my daughter had cancer. It was the most devastating day of my life,” the defensive tackle wrote Wednesday.
His post continues:
“March 25th, however, is feeling like the best day of my life. Today we received news from Leah’s oncologist that her cancer, stage four neuroblastoma, is officially in REMISSION! After 296 days of day dreaming about what it would feel like to hear the doctors say my daughter is in remission, I finally know the feeling. Funny thing is there is really no way of describing it because I never knew this feeling existed. When I look at my daughter all I can do is smile and hug her. It was not easy but every day, and every treatment Leah fought like hell and kicked cancers butt! I’m so proud and blessed to call her my daughter.”
He went on to thank doctors, hospital staff, family, friends and fans for their prayers and support.
“Thank you to everyone who has sent a letter to give Leah and our family motivation to keep fighting, a toy that helped Leah get through her days in the hospital, and more importantly a prayer that helped God hear our cries for healing.”
There was also a special shout out sent to Still’s Bengals family, who stood by him throughout this entire experience.
“Thank you to the Bengals for taking on my situation and standing by me and my family and for helping to raise money to fight pediatric cancer. To every media outlet and persons that helped raise much needed awareness, thank you.”
Leah will still need to undergo treatment to strengthen her immune system and repair damage caused by chemotherapy, but thankfully, it appears that the worst is over. We have been following this story since last year and we are so thrilled to hear about Leah’s recovery!

Kelly Rowland Was “One Of Those Irritating First-Time Moms”

When one thinks of Kelly Rowland, “irritating” is one of the last words to come to mind. However, by her own admission, the singer was “a bit of a psycho” after giving birth to her son, Titan.
“Oh God. I’m a little bit of a psycho when it comes to being a mom,” she confessed during a recent appearance on “Meredith.” “When he was first born, I remember I didn’t want anybody to touch him. I was one of those irritating first-time moms, ‘Oh don’t touch him and don’t do this and don’t do that.’ To the point if somebody touched him I would probably slap their hands because I did that with one of my girlfriends’ babies and the woman went to touch him and I said, ‘You don’t know him. Don’t do that.”
The new mom also opened up about losing her own mother, who passed away last December.
“It’s definitely been a challenge. My husband says, ‘You know babe you should think about it as a new normal.’ I think I’ve done that but I’m so blessed to have my son.”
She went on to say that she doesn’t believe that she has properly grieved her mom’s passing yet.
“I don’t think I’ve had the time to really really grieve but I feel her presence often,” she said.
Speaking of feeling her mother’s presence, Kelly shared a cute story about Titan breaking out into uncontrollable laughter one day and believing that her mom had something to do with it.
“Something that happened the other day Titan was laughing and I was like what is this boy laughing at because it was such a belly filled giggle. I was like what is that? He was looking up and smiling and laughing. I was like, that’s mom. I just know she is always near and I am just so grateful for that. God gave me an angel, he took one of my angels away but he still has her covering and hovering over us and I’m so blessed for that.”

12-Year-Old Allegedly Poisoned Mom By Pouring Bleach In Her Smoothie Because Her iPhone Was Taken Away

A 12-year-old Colorado girl is facing two counts of first degree murder because cops believe that she tried to kill her mother on two separate occasions, FOX Denver reports.
It’s believed that the unnamed child tried to poison her mother each time by pouring bleach into her beverage. On March 2, the woman fell ill after drinking a smoothie that smelled of the cleaning solution. The sickness eventually passed and she reasoned that the preteen simply failed to wash out the glass properly; however, she became alarmed after the second incident, which occurred on March 6, when she smelled the bleach again.
According to Boulder County Commander Heidi Prentup, the woman “confronted her daughter and her daughter told her that she was trying to kill her for taking her iPhone.”
“Her daughter told her that she was trying to kill her for taking her iPhone,”Prentup continued.
Authorities responded to Boulder County Hospital where the child’s mother was being treated. On Friday, the child was taken into custody at the Boulder County Juvenile Center. As previously stated, she has been charged with two counts of first degree attempted murder. Her mother survived both attempts and is said to be okay—at least physically.
This seems like a pretty outrageous reaction to cell phone privileges being taken away. We’re relieved to know that the girl’s mother survived.

I can’t even lie, when I heard that Patti Labelle was going to be competing on “Dancing With The Stars,” I was on the fence about the caliber of her performance. Even though she’s been known to run across the stage and kick her shoes off; I thought her moves might be a little…stiff. Her signature wing flap has always been pretty staccato.
But I might have to stand corrected.
Last night was my jam Monday on DWTS and Mama Patti’s jam, at 70-years-young, is 50 Cent’s “In Da Club.”
So she did a smoove two step, shuffle, shake something to that song. Mama even gave you a little boob action in the process.
What I find particularly remarkable about the performance is that she was dancing through some intense knee pain.

Parents Banned From School After Complaining About Daughter Receiving Threatening Notes And Being Called Racial Slurs

The parents of a Concord Intermediate School student in Indiana pulled their daughter out of school in the middle of the school year after she received a series of threatening notes believed to be from other students, The Elkhart Truth reports. In one note retrieved on Monday, March 16, NyZeria Neely is called a “n-gger” and told that she “doesn’t belong” at the school, where just under 10 percent of the student body is Black. One week prior to receiving the shocking note, Neely received another, which read: “Watch your back.”
While Neely, who is the only Black student in her high-ability class at Corncord, admits that she initially thought about crumpling up the note, she thought better and showed it to a teacher and Principal Chad Stamm. Neely recalls it being an awkward experience because school administrators didn’t seem to understand the severity of what had occurred and how it made her feel.
“He told me not to worry because it’s just words,” NyZeria said of Stamm. “But it’s more than words. I felt that it was offensive, very offensive.”
Superintendent Wayne Stubbs claims that the school is taking the threats very seriously and that the situation is being thoroughly investigated.
“Concord schools finds these situations to be very offensive and unacceptable in our schools, “ Stubbs said in an email. “Our building administrators take them seriously, as student safety is always our number one priority.”
However, Neely’s mom and dad are not convinced. Avonn Pratcher and Gina Neely showed up to Concord Intermediate School last Monday with a sign that read: “STOP BULLYING OUR CHILDREN.”
Unfortunately, the gesture seemed to backfire. Following a heated conversation with the school’s staff, Neely’s parents were issued a no-trespass order by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.
“We need something to be done about it,” said Pratcher. “We want a public apology. I want them to apologize to my daughter.”
The family is considering transferring Neely to Elkhart schools where at least 15 percent of the student population is Black.
“It’s kind of sad because I’m leaving all of my good friends behind, but I’m kind of happy to go to Elkhart schools. I’ve always wanted to go there,” said Neely.

Woman Found Dead In Dallas Salon After Receiving Illegal Butt Injections

With all of the horrifying headlines associated with the dangers of illegal butt injections, it’s a wonder that women continue to seek out these black-market procedures.
Wykesha Reid, 34, set out to have her fourth procedure done at the Deep Ellum salon in Dallas on February 18. Sadly, she never returned home.
“Everybody else got big booties,” Patricia Kelley, 70, who raised Reid since she was a baby, told Dallas News. “So she wanted a big booty.”
“Your butt’s getting too big,” she recalled telling Reid. “But she got hooked on them booty shots.”
Unfortunately, Reid’s addiction to booty shots may have cost her life. Police discovered Reid’s body at the salon around 7 p.m. the following morning. The entire building had been cleared out and Reid’s purse and cell phone were also gone.
On Wednesday, police issued arrest warrants for Denise Ross, 43, and Jimmy Clarke, 31, who also goes by the name Alicia. Both face charges of practicing medicine without a license. They cannot be charged in Reid’s death until a medical examiner is able to prove that the illegal injections are what caused the nursing home employee to pass away.
Whether the shots caused her death or not, Reid’s family believes Ross and Clarke should be charged in her murder simply because they failed to call paramedics when they saw that Reid was in distress.
“I want to see them on trial for murder,” said Reid’s daughter, Keaira Reid, 20. “I’m very mad because anybody could have called 911.”
Clients of the Deep Ellum salon say that the pair ran a well-known butt injections operation out of the location for at least the past three years. Ross and Clarke allegedly used hydrogel injections, which they sealed with super glue. The injections were sold in $300 to $500 dosages.
“What makes me so mad is that they left the body there overnight. That is negligent,” said a 27-year-old former client of Ross and Clarke. “That hits home for me. I feel like, ‘Would you have done that to me?’”

Ludacris Child Custody Case May Be Reopened Because He May Have Failed To Disclose Eudoxie’s Pregnancy

In January, the courts granted Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges primary custody of Cai Bella Bridges, his one-year-old daughter with former lover Tamika Fuller. A little over a month later, the Furious 7 actor and his new wife, Eudoxie Agnan, announced that they’re expecting a baby. According to a new motion entered by Fuller’s attorney Lisa West, Bridges failed to disclose Agnan’s pregnancy to the courts so Fuller is requesting a new trial.
According to TMZ, Fuller’s attorney is also arguing that Bridges isn’t the best parent because he has hired a nanny to do most of the hard work. Sandra Rose is reporting that the recent motion was entered Thursday evening at the Fulton County Courthouse.
Last week we told you that Bridges briefly addressed the case and Fuller’s defense team’s attempts to discredit his parenting abilities by dissecting his lyrics. Attorneys for neither Fuller nor Bridges immediately returned our requests for comment regarding her recent motion, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted as new details emerge.

For the past few months, I’ve been in a whirlwind of BS when it comes to dating. I was seeing a particular guy for a little while, and at first, we only had minor disagreements. But after some time passed, s**t started to hit the fan. His ex-girlfriend kept popping up in photos on social media anytime we would have even the smallest of arguments. Initially I turned the other cheek to this annoyance because it wasn’t THAT big of a deal to me, and we were just dating. But then I started seeing more and more photos of her at family gatherings and intimate events. They seemed on when we were off. I realized then that it was time to ask the questions I should have asked months earlier.
When we first started dating I asked if he was in a relationship or seeing someone. No and no. I left it at that. What I should have done was probe just a bit deeper. For some, especially men, the lines are blurred when it comes to ‘relationships’ and ‘seeing someone,’ especially when it deals with their exes. I could have saved myself a lot of heartache and anger if I would have dug a bit deeper into his status with his so-called ex.
I should have asked him if he was still seeing her, even if he considered it a friendly encounter (which usually isn’t the case). More importantly, I should have asked how long it had been since they’d broken up and if he still had feelings for her. Another good question to ask would have been, who broke up with whom? If he broke up with her, then he may have been over the relationship. If she broke up with him, depending on when they split, he may feel more inclined to go running when she calls.
As it turns out, they broke up over a minor disagreement, one that could have easily been resolved. It’s also one that I think they tried to resolve during the time we were dating. And although he and I spent most days together, when we didn’t, or after we argued, he was off trying to make amends with her. He’s still very much in love with her. And although they’re not officially together, or so he says, they spend a lot of time together when he and I are not on good terms.
My feelings for him, thank God, are fading; but I can’t help but wonder how much hurt I could have saved myself if I would have asked these questions in the beginning. Maybe it was the fact that I wasn’t sure what kind of relationship I wanted with him, or maybe it was my ego that kept me from considering his ex. Whatever the reason, as previously mentioned, I have been in a whirlwind of BS that could have been prevented if I would have asked the right “ex-factor” questions.
The dynamics of relationships vary, but asking these questions about the past could save a lot of confusion in the future. Ladies, don’t make the same mistake. Probe, even if it seems intrusive. Your heart will thank you in the long run.
