Comedian Tracy Morgan has had a long road to recovery since being involved in a fatal traffic accident on the New Jersey Turnpike that left him in a coma for days and killed another comedian, James McNair. The van Morgan and McNair was in was struck from behind by a Wal-Mart truck last June.

Morgan has reached a settlement with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The family of McNair settled with Wal-Mart in January. While the terms of Morgan’s settlement weren’t disclosed, his lawyer, Benedict Morelli, confirmed it.

“Wal-Mart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families,” Morgan said in the statement. “I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably.”

The Wal-Mart driver, Kevin Roper, had gone at least 24 hours without sleep before the accident. He was later charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto and he pleaded not guilty, reports Bloomberg.

In January, Wal-Mart reached a confidential settlement with McNair’s two children, who hadn’t sued.

Wal-Mart U.S. president Greg Foran apologized in the statement, saying, “We are deeply sorry that one of our trucks was involved.”
