Speaking of being petty, it looks like A$AP Rocky has also been wadding in the petty pool. On his new single “Better Things,” the Harlem rapper describes a sexual encounter with singer Rita Ora and as to be expected, the lyrics are rather explicit. He raps:

I swear that b-tch Rita Ora got a big mouth/Next time I see her might curse the b-tch out/Kicked the b-tch out once cause she b-tched out/Spit my kids out, j–zed up all in her mouth and made the b-tch bounce.

Most were left wondering why he chose to go after the singer so harshly, as the jab seemed to come completely out of left field. But as it turns out, the rapper apparently blames Rita for past relationship problems.

In a recent interview with Sway Calloway, the 26-year-old explained that the song is actually old, but he insists that the lyrics were inspired by a real-life encounter with Rita. According to his version of events, the two had a sexual encounter, which Rita later went and blabbed about. Apparently, he was in a relationship at the time, presumably with ex-girlfriend Chanel Iman, and for obvious reasons, Rita bragging about their sexcapades caused problems in his relationship.

“First off, it’s an old song,” she said. “It’s one of the older songs on the album. But what I will say is I got into a lot of trouble over her at times when I didn’t need to because she caused a lot of grief. So at that time, for me, it was just like…you know. I said what I said.”

He continued:

“It’s an old track. It was one of the joints that I recorded before Yams passed that he really loved. Now, if you asked me another question, like, maybe I should’ve muted her name? Maybe I should’ve. But at the time, that’s how I felt.”

When asked if he gave Rita a heads up regarding the contents of the track, he replied no because she didn’t bother giving him a heads up.

“When you get in trouble with women, I’m sure you can put two and two together. I got in trouble. I wasn’t supposed to be doing things with her, I got in trouble. Put it like that. And she got me on purpose. It’s girly stuff, but listen, at the end of the day I don’t have nothing against her. It’s not like I said, ‘She’s a terrible person. Don’t go listen to her music,’ and that kind of stuff. I said what happened and yeah.”

Kissing and telling is lame. Period.
