Two arrests in three days? Either former San Francisco 49er Ray McDonald Jr. has poor judgement or he’s gunning for some sort of world record.

Monday, the troubled athlete was arrested after his ex-fiancée accused him of attacking as she held their child. In 911 audio acquired by TMZ, the victim’s mother told an emergency operator that McDonald was drunk at the time of the alleged attack. The incident resulted in domestic violence and child endangerment charges as well as an apparent restraining order.

According to Santa Clara Police, the defensive end was ordered to stay away from the California home where his ex is currently staying with their child. Unfortunately, cops say that the 30-year-old didn’t even wait a week before violating that order. Police records allege that McDonald returned to the home Wednesday evening but quickly left. Cops tracked him down just after 5:30 pm at a nearby Togo’s sandwich shop. The defensive lineman was arrested without incident and booked at Santa Clara County Jail.

As previously reported, McDonald was dropped by the Chicago Bears following Monday’s incident.

“We believe in second chances, but when we signed Ray we were very clear what our expectations were if he was to remain a Bear,” Bears General Manager Ryan Pace said in a statement. “He was not able to meet the standard and the decision was made to release him.”

Interestingly, the former NFL player’s mom, Labrina McDonald, insists that he never put his hands on his former fiancée.

“[Ray’s] personal driver witnessed everything that happened. He never touched her,” she told TMZ. “Ray is never going to hit a woman. He may say some stuff to piss them off, he may kick them out of his house. But he’d never lay his hands on them. We didn’t raise him that way.”

As for the violated restraining order, the athlete’s father, Ray McDonald Sr., had this to say:

“He should not have been there.”

They have also accepted that their son’s NFL career is probably finito at this point.

“He can move on from football, develop a business mindset like my wife and I have. He’ll be okay. He’s going to be successful. He comes from a great family,” he said. “He just needs to get the hell out of dodge and get his life together.”
