Well, this is pretty cool.
Target has announced a new campaign titled, A Fit For Every Body, that features real models. The Grio reports,
The campaign, bloggers Nashelly Messina, Nikki Minton, Sarah Boyd and Chantè Burkett meet with stylist Zanna Roberts Rassi to discuss what they like and dislike about their bodies. Unsurprisingly, everyone there is quick to point out what they are most self-conscious about with their bodies, noting that it is hard to feel confident in a swimsuit.
By the end of the video, the women have discussed ways they can love their bodies and be more comfortable in their own skin.
A spokesperson for Target also said that they were trying to reach out to the women who buy their swimwear this summer rather than allowing them to continue to feel dread over finding a swimsuit.
“We know there is no ‘one suit fits all’ and wanted to help women feel confident this summer and empowered to try different styles, no matter their size or shape,” the spokesperson said to Buzzfeed.
For those of you who like purchasing your bathing suits at Target, aka me, this is great news! It feels absolutely amazing to know Target is going in this direction. Not enough brands, take the time out to understand and appreciate a women’s body. Go Target!
