A couple of weeks ago, my sister and I took a trip to Cartagena, Colombia. In addition to the rest and relaxation I planned to get, I knew I wanted to hit the beach and wear all three of my swimsuits, two of which I had purchased specifically for the occasion.
But before I could go play on the beach, I had to prepare work in my absence, pack my clothes and toiletries and lastly prepare my body for the trip. Ladies, you know what I’m talking about. I was planning to wear, shorts, dresses and those swimsuits. so that meant I had to do some serious shaving.
Ideally, I would have liked to take a bath and spend at take at least a full hour to shave everything carefully and properly. But that would have required planning and proper time management. And sadly, more often than not, planning and time management aren’t my forte. So I shaved my legs, armpits and bikini area in the 15 minutes before my cab arrived to take me to the airport.

It was a passable job; but needless to say, I was rushing. And as many of you may know when you rush, the likelihood of razor bumps and general irritation increases.
Luckily, I’d received 100% Australian Jojoba oil in travel size from The Jojoba Company.
And it saved my life over and over again throughout my vacation.
I used it on my hair. I have dreadlocks and it’s very hard to find oil that penetrate my locs. But the Jojoba kept my hair moisturized after I played in the ocean and even in the Colombian sun.
I used it as lotion when my shea butter ran out and it certainly helped alleviate the irritation I inevitably felt after shaving. I didn’t even see any razor bumps and I think the jojoba had a lot to do with it.
This wasn’t my first time using jojoba oil but the 100% Australian brand was much thicker and effective than the watery kind I had purchased from the beauty supply in Harlem.
