Musically, we’ve heard her side of the story; now it’s time to hear his.

On her 2014 album The Pinkprint, Nicki Minaj detailed the relationship turbulence experienced prior to her surprising split from Safaree Samuels on tracks like “The Crying Game” and “Bed of Lies.” Now, it seems that Samuels is following suit.

Wednesday, the Queens rapper released a teaser for his new single, “Love The Most,” to TMZ. On the track, he raps about their broken engagement, experiencing blatant disrespect during the relationship and wanting her to have his baby.

He raps:

I ain’t saying I’m the best/ No one will love you like I did
12 years up in flames/ Thought you would’ve had my kid.
Year three got engaged, now we moving out of rage/ I ain’t never thought our book would’ve ended on this page.
Had to watch you kiss Nas and pretend it’s all cool / Inside I was feeling like a mother f–king fool.

“Love The Most” is included on Samuels’ new mixtape It Is What It Is, which is slated for release this Thursday.

We can’t say that we’re surprised the rapper’s breakup frustrations are being expressed on his new project. 12 years is a pretty long time.
