We all love to believe that once we reach a certain age, we rise above all of the pettiness but that didn’t seem to be the case last week with Anita Baker and fellow soul singer Cheryl Lynn. Now, it seems that the whole altercation may have been a farce.
The two went back and forth on Twitter after Cheryl said that Miss Baker blocked her on the social networking site.
Well, today, Cheryl Lynne’s manager, Thurlene Johnson reached out to Hello Beautiful, to say that the tweets did not come from a verified account. In fact, Johnson said that Lynn doesn’t even have an account.
“Cheryl Lynn does not have a Twitter or Facebook account. The individual sending the communications is an imposter pretending to be Cheryl Lynn. Twitter has been made aware of this situation several time over the last two years. Careful scrutiny of the tweets reveals it is not a verified account.”
Interesting.
We’re certainly hoping this is true. It did none of us any good to see these ladies behaving like this.
