This past weekend, Saturday Night Live’s (SNL) newest cast member Sasheer Zamata made a special guest appearance at New York City’s Brunch Night! With Jamie Leelo.
During her appearance, Zamata was interviewed about what it was like meeting the pop superstar Rihanna, who recently appeared and performed on SNL’s May 16th season finale. Zamata, who acted as Rihanna on SNL several times throughout her first season, initially met the Bajan singer prior to the show’s season finale. And after meeting the B**** Better Have My Money singer, Zamata felt a bit underwhelmed.
According to B.Scott, Zamata said of the encounter:
“We had had a good night after the dress rehearsal, and she turned around and saw me and she was like ‘Hey!’ and she gave me a hug. Then she got drunker progressively throughout the show, and at the end of good nights for the actual show, I went up to give her a hug because I was like ‘We’re good, we’re besties now. And I was like ‘Hey!’ and she was like [mimes bored wave]. So I was like ‘Ohhh, wow your true feelings are coming out!’”
While Rihanna continues to promote her Dior campaign and R8 album, hopefully, she doesn’t find time to clap back at Zamata who will be preparing for her role in the upcoming movie Yoga Hosers, alongside Johnny Deep.
