We know Keenan Thompson thinks funny Black girls are hard to find, but Oxygen clearly doesn’t agree. This season, the network aired a hilarious new show about five up-and-coming female comedians titled “Funny Girls” and two of the stars just so happen to be rather funny Black girls: Yamaneika Saunders and Calise Hawkins.
When we caught wind of the show we asked the ladies to come by the office and tell us if it’s really as hard out here for a Black female comic as it seems and within seconds they had us cracking up — and signing along to their Beyonce and Mary J. Blige impressions. Check out the interview in the video above and be sure to catch the season finale of “Funny Girls” which airs tonight at 9 pm on Oxygen.
