One thing that I’ve learned from observing the women around me who have been blessed with little ones is that babies change everything. Some of those changes are good and some present some pretty interesting challenges. One hurdle faced by some new moms is feeling sexy after baby. Interestingly, singer Kelly Rowland says that she experienced quite the opposite since giving birth last November.
“I feel very sexy being a mom,” Rowland told In Touch Weekly.
According to the new mom and wife, her newfound sexy has nothing to do with her husband, Tim Witherspoon, whom she married in Costa Rica last May. Instead, it seems to be inspired by a strength that she discovered within herself.
“It’s not even about my husband or anybody else. Even when I’m by myself, I just feel like a rock star!” she shared. “I’m like, ‘Girl, you pushed a baby out!’ I just feel like the queen of everything.”
The 34-year-old adds that motherhood was one of those things that she was able to quickly adjust to.
“I always knew that I would be a mother,” she said. “My mom was a nanny, and I loved kids.”
Rowland also shared that she hopes to give her son Titan Jewell Witherspoon a younger brother or sister within the next few years.
“At least four years from now. I want to instill in him everything that I can and I want that to be one-on-one because I really want to raise a great man.”
