George Zimmerman was involved in a shooting incident Monday in Seminole County, Florida. According to WFTV, 31-year-old was shot in the face following a confrontation with a driver.
It is unclear what caused the incident, but TMZ is reporting that Zimmerman engaged in a shootout with the man. News footage shows a bullet hole in the front passenger window of Zimmerman’s truck.
Authorities say Zimmerman’s injury appears to be minor. The race of the other suspect has not been disclosed. It is unclear if he was injured during the incident.
In 2013, Zimmerman was acquitted in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
