While basking in the afterglow of Empire’s breakout success, Terrence Howard was presented with one more milestone to celebrate: the birth of his fourth child.
Nearly four weeks ago, Howard and his wife, Miranda, quietly welcomed their son. The couple named the baby boy Qirin Love after a Chinese mythical creäture called Qilin, which is said to appear before times of serenity or prosperity.
The actor revealed his son’s birth during a recent interview with Access Hollywood at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco.
“He’s beautiful and strong and a whirlwind and my wife is so happy,” he said.
According to Howard, Miranda takes the day shift, and he looks after the newborn at night.
“She has to be up with him all throughout the day. I wasn’t born with boobs; I’ve started growing some recently,” he said laughing. “She has the boobage and nurses him during the day. So, I pull night duty so that she can sleep, and I keep him with me and will take some of the pre-pumped, you know, breast cheese, whatever you call it.”
Qirin is the couple’s first child together. Howard is also the proud father of Heaven, 17, Hunter, 19, and Aubrey, 21, from his first marriage to Lori McCommas.
