Finger Lickin’ Good! KFC Tries Out Typing Trays For Smartphone Users With Greasy Fingers

Ever tried using your keyboard while eating something greasy. It’s nearly impossible. Well, KFC is trying to come up with a solution. The fast food giant is testing out disposable paper typing trays in Germany to make it easier for smartphone users to browse the web without getting grease and chicken crumbs on their devices.

KFC tested a number of super thin, rechargeable wireless keyboards which can connect with devices via Bluetooth, reports The Drum.

But don’t get too excited. It seems the keyboard campaign was only for a limited time in Germany and was more of a marketing stunt than something the company will implement chain wide. But keep your greasy fingers crossed. Fast food chains are doing everything they can to outdo the competition and drive customers. If people want disposable tablet typing trays, chances are they’ll get them soon.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the company, they’re bring back their iconic mascot in an ad campaign that, so far, just has him walking around handing out pieces of chicken to strangers.
