Would You Expose Your Ex If He Lied On You Publicly?

Yesterday in the office, I was having a discussion with our news writer, Jazmine, about which one of us was going to write an essay about all the not-so-discreet shade Blac Chyna was throwing at Kylie Jenner. Both of us like Blac Chyna and feel like the way her infantile baby daddy left her for a Kardashian kid was nothing short of foul.

Still, with all of that being said I just couldn’t appreciate the shots Blac Chyna was taking at Kylie Jenner. In case you’ve missed it, Blac Chyna posted images of herself wearing exaggerated lips, she flaunted the watch Tyga gave to both she and Kylie and other shenanigans. Despite her impeccable makeup and the fact that her mother is pushing her into adulthood,  Kylie Jenner is still a child. A child who’s ultimately being exploited by a D-list rapper and her opportunist mother.

So Chyna coming for a child, who has no one in her corner, is not only unnecessary, it’s sad.

While I’m not a fan of airing out dirty, relationship laundry on social media, if Chyna were going to come for anyone it should have been her former fiancé, father of her child, Tyga. He’s the one who left you to jaunt around with an adolescent, all in public view.

At the end of the day neither one of them should be fighting over a man. Honestly, Kylie hasn’t been fighting. And Tyga wasn’t even speaking Blac Chyna’s name. So she was out here looking a little… pressed.

Then, last night Tyga wanted to get on Twitter and start talking slick.

He tweeted:

Naturally, everyone assumed that he was referencing the mother of his child and Blac Chyna clapped back with a quickness, bringing forth receipts as evidence that Tyga himself hadn’t exactly gotten over anything.

The text messages weren’t messy. Just facts. And the facts showed that not only was Tyga trying to get back in, he was trying to get back in yesterday. So, really, who is the thirsty one out here? I’m not even going to spend time trying to guess what Tyga wants out of his relationships with Kylie and Chyna, but I do want to talk about her decision to post the messages.

Best case scenario all of this would have been kept off of social media. But since these three…or two, really, crossed that line a long time ago, I can’t say I have a real problem with Chyna stepping forward to define herself against Tyga’s straight up lies.

Just earlier this week, I was arguing that though folks are tired of hearing about it, Mo’Nique has every right and I support her defending herself against the fallacies Danny Strong and Lee Daniels were trying to spread about her.

We can have a conversation about being a bigger person, but if anyone’s ever lied on you, you know not only how frustrating and hurtful it can be; but also how difficult it can be to prove that people are indeed spreading untruths about you. People love to believe bad news.

So, while I want her to stop with the Kylie jabs, Blac Chyna absolutely should have released those text messages. Just in case Tyga starts feeling froggy again. (Sadly, he’s already issued a weak,  not-saying-nothing response.)
