When an artist goes on the road, it’s his or her chance to offer fans a once in a lifetime experience with a great performance. But these artists were the ones left shocked and surprised after being attacked onstage.

Part of the reason why an artist hires security and has beefy bodyguards on stage with them is to protect them from crazy fans or people in the audience looking to cause trouble. But Plies and his bodyguards allowed for trouble to happen during a concert this past Easter weekend. The “Shawty” rapper invited a fan to join him on stage during his show in Tallahassee, Florida. But the fan was allegedly offended by what Plies was saying and instead of showing love, he ended up showing off an old wrestling move by body slamming the rapper. Plies’ bodyguards quickly pounced but the damage had been done and Plies became a trending topic over the holiday weekend.
