South Florida probation officer Zachary Bailey, 50, has been accused of raping one of his parolees, Local 10 reports.
According to investigators, the alleged sexual assault occurred March 11 at the victim’s Coral Springs home. While conducting a home study, Bailey allegedly walked into the woman’s bedroom and blocked her from leaving the room. He then put his hands down her pants.
“You can’t do that. What are you doing?” the victim says she told Bailey.
She also told police that she was afraid to scream because her daughter was in another room. According to the victim, Bailey left the house but called and said that he needed to return for something. After reentering the home, Bailey allegedly asked for a massage and demanded oral sex from the victim. She told police that she refused, but he began undressing anyway. Police say that Bailey pushed the woman onto her bed and proceeded to rape her. During the assault, the victim says that she told Bailey “Stop” and “This is rape.”
To support her allegations, the victim was able to provide investigators with footage and photographs of a naked Bailey putting on a condom in her bedroom. Officers later retrieved the used condom from her home.
Bailey, who has served as a probation officer for 20 years, was fired last week. He has been charged with two counts of sexual battery.
